    Coaches provide instruction as parent and child work together to develop motor skills necessary to succeed in soccer and to prepare child for team play, which begins at the kindergarten level. Participants will receive a soccer ball and t-shirt. Calahan Park site led by Black Watch staff and CP Smith site led by Burlington Soccer Academy.

    114806 - Waterfront Adventures

    This camp is designed for adventurers who love to play on the Lake but would like to do more than just sail on it. We will explore Lake Champlain to the fullest from a variety of watercraft, including canoe/kayak excursions out to Lone Rock Point, paddleboarding to North Beach, and sailing adventures around Burlington Bay. Classes will meet regardless of the weather so plan accordingly with your gear each day. Life jackets are provided. Combine this camp with the Maven Skate Camp for a full day on the Waterfront!

    414802 - Spring Youth Lacrosse

    Burlington Youth Lacrosse, Inc. is fielding 3 boy’s and 3 girl’s teams at the 3-4, 5-6, 7-8 grade levels. Practices will be twice a week, and are TBD based on field/weather conditions. Games are held once a week, on weekends, boys on Saturdays and girls on Sundays, during the month of May. Emphasis will be on basic stick skills and the fundamentals of lacrosse. The club strives to promote respect, teamwork, and commitment in a positive atmosphere. The coaches will provide final schedules (times & dates.)

    Burlington Youth Lacrosse, Inc.will offer scholarships for fees and assist with equipment needs. Scholarships will be handled at the time of registration. An additional $25 will be needed to cover lacrosse insurance; parents will need to go to www.uslacrosse.org to acquire this. Register through BPRW, but for more up-to-date information, go to www.btvlax.com. Informational/registration meetings are being held on: March 6, 7:00pm at the Miller Center & March 8, 7:00pm at Champlain Elementary School gym.

    414810 - Maven After School Skate

    In a creative and safe environment that promotes wellness and encourages communication, growth, perseverance and happiness, campers will progress to the next level of skating. In this after school skateboarding workshop hosted by Maven, beginners will learn skateboard mechanics and basic riding skills such as balance, pushing, turning, stopping, riding transitions, and dropping-in. Advanced skaters will have the opportunity to drop in on bigger obstacles/features, and learn more challenging tricks. Skaters will be assessed on day one of the 6 session program to establish skateboarding goals. Lessons are adapted to each individual’s ability. All participants are educated in skateboard safety, including skateboard maintenance and skatepark etiquette.
    If there are any rain days, campers will explore skateboarding through music, art and culture. Campers will navigate the mechanics and maintenance needs of their equipment, as well as examine different creative art mediums related to the skateboard culture.

    The experienced and energetic Champ Hockey staff will be teaching field hockey fundamentals in a fun and positive environment in this four-week clinic series. Our goal is for kids to experience the sport of field hockey, have an opportunity to learn the basic skills, and learn through play...all while having FUN!
