    Love horses? Want to learn to take care of them, ride them and be safe around them? Come to Pony Camp and get lots of hands-on experience with the ponies and horses! Activities include riding lessons, horse care, stable management, games on horseback, horse-related crafts. We will also have an old-fashioned ice cream party on Friday and contests where you will win ribbons! Campers are bussed to the farm in Hinesburg and hours at the farm are 11:00am to 2:30pm. Afternoons are spent swimming and playing games in the area. Drop-off and pick-up are at Schmanska Barn.

    114802 - Talent Skate Camp

    Youth are invited to learn to skateboard at the Andy A_Dog Skatepark, from some of Vermont's finest boarders. This camp is geared to skaters with beginner to intermediate skills. Skaters will be split into groups based on age and abilities. Talent Skatepark staff will be directing the camp and teaching participants tricks such as pushing, ollieing, dropping in, board slides and grinds. All skaters must have helmets that clip shut and wrist, elbow and knee pads. This is a skateboarder camp (no scooters, inline, or bmx.)

    114804 - Sailing Camp

    SAILING CAMP:
    This is a five-day introduction to sailing. Participants will learn the basics of rigging, points of sail, sailing maneuvers and capsize recovery in a safe and fun environment. U.S. Sailing certified instructors lead a variety of land and water-based activities with the goal of comfort and independence in our boats. Classes will meet regardless of the weather so plan accordingly with your gear each day. CSC provides life jackets. Combine this camp with the Talent Skate Camp for a full day on the Waterfront!

    WATERFRONT ADVENTURES CAMP:
    This camp is designed for adventurers who love to play on the Lake but would like to do more than just sail on it. We will explore Lake Champlain to the fullest from a variety of watercraft, including canoe/kayak excursions out to Lone Rock Point, paddleboarding to North Beach, and sailing adventures around Burlington Bay. Classes will meet regardless of the weather so plan accordingly with your gear each day. Life jackets are provided. Combine this camp with the Maven Skate Camp for a full day on the Waterfront!

    114805 - Youth Track & Field

    The youth track program is designed with two main objectives in mind. First is the enjoyment of sport. This program has consistently provided a platform for kids to develop strong social connections with teammates and coaches that carry on long after the summer ends. The second objective is general athletic growth. Curriculum design provides age appropriate instruction centered around developing proper movement mechanics. Technical mastery is delivered in the context of track and field, but transferable to almost any other sport.

    Fee for participation covers the two practices (Tuesday and Thursday evenings) each week, a Burlington Track t-shirt (which is the official team uniform for competition), and registration for two sanctioned, fully-automatic timed track meets.

    114818 - Global Premier Soccer Camp

    Global Premier Soccer continues to develop and grow programs for the youth soccer community in VT. Delivered by international coaches from Great Britain and many other European countries, our ever growing knowledge base continues to drive our goal to provide cutting-edge curriculums and coaching methods. For U6 Juniors (ages 3-6 years) we will introduce children to the fundamentals of soccer and our expert staff will take the players through games and exercises, providing players basic soccer skills in a fun and exciting environment. For players U8-U14, our vacation programs are designed around individual development and ball mastery through age appropriate curriculum for those who are looking to take the next step in their soccer development.     This camp is designed for high school-aged athletes wanting to focus on the fundamentals of the game. Drills will help to develop specific skills including: passing, serving, hitting, and individual defense. In addition, instruction in team offensive and defensive systems will be incorporated through team play and game-like situations. The camp is open to all boys and girls in high school (including incoming freshman).     In a creative and safe environment that promotes wellness and encourages communication, growth, perseverance and happiness, campers will progress to the next level of skating. In this one-week skateboarding camp hosted by Maven, beginners will learn skateboard mechanics and basic riding skills such as balance, pushing, turning, stopping, riding transitions, and dropping-in. Advanced skaters will have the opportunity to drop in on bigger obstacles/features, and learn more challenging tricks. Skaters will be assessed on the first day of the camp to establish skateboarding goals. Lessons will be adapted to each individual’s ability. All participants are educated in skateboard safety, including skateboard maintenance and skatepark etiquette. If there are any rain days, campers will explore skateboarding through music, art and culture. Over a 2-mile walk, you’ll discover the local ethnic history and food traditions of many groups, including Abenaki, African Americans, Yankees, Chinese, French Canadians, Germans, Greeks, Irish, Italians, Jewish, and Lebanese. To celebrate their traditions of eating local foods – often from their own backyards – we will sample food at five cafes and restaurants that serve local foods: ECHO, Maglianero, Church & Main Restaurant, Penny Cluse, and Juniper Bar & Restaurant. Along the way, you’ll hear fascinating and diverse stories such as the first recorded food cart on Church Street, owned by Jews from Latvia, and an Irish meat company that sponsored a German sausage maker who was about to be abandoned at Ellis Island. This tour offers a different side of Burlington’s rich history, uncovered by tour co-founders, Elise Guyette & Gail Rosenberg.

    It is a three-day awesome pony camp! On Monday you will learn about the special care of horses and ponies (how to feed, water and brush them, how to care for their hooves).     414802 - Spring Youth Lacrosse

    Join the fastest growing sport in America today! Burlington Youth Lacrosse, Inc. is fielding 3 boy’s and 3 girl’s teams, this spring, at the 3-4, 5-6, 7-8 grade levels. Practices will be twice a week, starting in the end of March/early April. Games are held once a week, on weekends, boys on Saturdays and girls on Sundays, during the month of May. Emphasis will be on basic stick skills and the fundamentals of lacrosse. The club strives to promote respect, teamwork, and commitment in a positive atmosphere. The coaches will provide final schedules (times & dates.)

    Burlington Youth Lacrosse, Inc.will offer scholarships for fees and assist with equipment needs. Scholarships will be handled at the time of registration. An additional $25 will be needed to cover lacrosse insurance; parents will need to go to www.uslacrosse.org to acquire this.     414810 - Maven After School Skate

    In a creative and safe environment that promotes wellness and encourages communication, growth, perseverance and happiness, campers will progress to the next level of skating. In this after school skateboarding workshop hosted by Maven, beginners will learn skateboard mechanics and basic riding skills such as balance, pushing, turning, stopping, riding transitions, and dropping-in. Advanced skaters will have the opportunity to drop in on bigger obstacles/features, and learn more challenging tricks. Skaters will be assessed on day one of the 6 session program to establish skateboarding goals. Lessons are adapted to each individual’s ability. All participants are educated in skateboard safety, including skateboard maintenance and skatepark etiquette.
    If there are any rain days, campers will explore skateboarding through music, art and culture. Campers will navigate the mechanics and maintenance needs of their equipment, as well as examine different creative art mediums related to the skateboard culture.

    452306 - Three Easy Walks

    Join us for one, two, or three easy walks mapped out by the Winooski Valley Park District. These parks are part of their huge park system and we are invited to use them any time they are open.
    On Wednesday, we will warm up at Old Mill Park in Jericho located behind the Old Red Mill.
    On Thursday, we will go to Salmon Hole Park off of Riverside Avenue in Burlington and meander along the River Walk.
    On Friday, we will head over to Colchester Point and do the Delta Park walk.
    Bring a full water bottle and wear sneakers or hiking shoes. Join us for some fresh air and light exercise, conversation and fun

    Join other seniors as we take a cruise around Lake Champlain on a narrated tour aboard the Spirit of Ethan Allen III. We will learn about the history of Lone Rock Point, Colchester Point, as well as Shelburne Bay and Dunder Rock.and if we are lucky, we may spot our famous lake monster, Champ! Coffee and assorted pastries included as well as pick up/drop offs at our Pine Street offices, senior centers and housing.
